How it Works

Start a project

Search a location or dive into the map to navigate to a place. Name and save your project to ensure you don’t lose any work.

Search for a specific location, such as an address, city, or country. Or simply enter the map and start exploring!
02-Composer - Name+Save
Name and save your project.

Customize the map

Design within a fully customizable 3D space. Note important locations with markers, and import global and local data with Mapbox layers. Coming soon: import GIS data, floor plans, and massing diagrams.

03-Composer - Layers+Perspective
Change the visibility of different layers, and set various camera angles.
04-Composer - MapMarker_Satellite
Add markers to call out important locations on the map. Edit the color and size, and add text and an image to your markers.

Create & edit snapshots

Take snapshots of the map to create slides for your design story. Then add text, images, shapes and even draw on your snapshots to bring everything together.

05-Composer - CreateSnapshot
Take a Snapshot once everything in the map is ready.
06-Composer - EditSnapshot
Add text, images, shapes, and even draw on top of your Snapshots to start creating an engaging presentation.
07-Composer - ModifyMap
Modify the camera angle and map layers directly from Snapshot editing mode. Lock the map in place if you want to prevent viewers from moving around the map on this Snapshot.
08-Composer - SnapshotDrawer
Open the Snapshot drawer to view all of your snapshots. From here you can rearrange, duplicate, delete, and turn off the visibility of individual Snapshots.

Preview & share

Send your interactive presentation to team members and stakeholders for feedback. Viewers can move around the map so they can become fully immersed in your project story.

09-Composer - PreviewPresentation
Open the Snapshots drawer and select “Preview Presentation” to see your presentation in action. Reopen the drawer to turn the fly-to animation and Snapshots titles on and off.
10-Composer - EditPreview
Click the Edit button to edit a Snapshot from preview mode.
11-Composer - Share
Open the Snapshot drawer and select “Share” to send your presentation to your team or client. Turn on “Make Public” if you’d like all Spatial Composer users to be able to view your presentation.
